Seminar „Making Lifelong Learning a Reality“, Cologne, 7th to 9th March 2004
Workshop No. 5: Integration of SMEsThe strategies of an intensified integration of SMEs into regional educational networks shall be discussed within the scope of this workshop. The focus will be set on questions, e.g. for the possibilities to determine the demand for further education, as well as on ways to solve them, e.g. by models to analyse working processes and the function of involved employees, and on the analysis of weak points. Another question would be: Which measures are accepted by SMEs? Within the realms of possibility could be strategies to utilise external expertise, which possibly could inspire internal forms of learning or emphasise informal learning processes or initiate learning arrangements which are linked to the work place. Another possibility would be the further development of one’s own expertise. Further central questions will be:
Which forms of regional co-operation between SMEs and providers of further education have successfully been proven? Which further forms of regional co-operation between SMEs are within the realms of possibility?
